Welcome to Our Site and to our Church and School
Visible signs can be detected in the 162-year history of our congregation and school that give us reason to believe that God will continue blessing this congregation in the future.  The most important sign is that God's Word has been faithfully taught in our school and in the parish throughout the history of our congregation.  Word and Sacrament ministry have been central in the life of our parish and school. Another indication of faithfulness is still present in the letters U.A.C. inscribed on the arch over the front entrance to the old church building,  which letters are defined  in the heading of our constitution.  The letters are U.A.C., which stand for Unaltered Augsburg Confession.  With an unbroken quia subscription to our Lutheran Confessions, this indicator proves that the founders of Ev. Luth.Heilige Geist Kirche and those who followed them were serious about the Lutheran Confession of the Christian faith entrusted to them.  Empowered by God’s grace, their desire was to preserve God's Truth and hand it down to future generations.  Indeed, it has worked smoothly for the most part these past 162 years.  It can, with God's help, work for the next 162 years as God continues sending faithful pastors and teachers to Holy Ghost Lutheran.

God called our ancestors to faithfulness in Word and Sacrament ministry, as well as to take a firm Scriptural stand on all Christian doctrine and practice.  In the same way, God calls us today to this same high standard of faithfulness. We are entrusted with His Word, Sacraments, and Confession that never change, despite a rapidly changing society.  With God's empowering Spirit, we are able to preserve the Christian Lutheran heritage of our congregation for future generations that we will never know this side of heaven.  Our purpose is to faithfully serve Christ Jesus by serving his saints at Holy Ghost with Word and Sacrament Ministry and to spread the Gospel to our neighbors in our community and to all people throughout the world.  May God help us to this end, through Christ Jesus, our Crucified and Risen Savior, who equips us to contend for the faith entrusted to the saints.
